"default": "The Espresso Martini is a modern classic, based on a drink created by the UK's late crown prince of cocktails, Dick Bradsell, whilst he was working in the Soho Brasserie. The story goes (and it does vary depending on who you ask) that an attractive female model approached the bar where Dick was working and asked him for a drink that would \"pick me up, then 'mess' me up\"—if only all drinks requests came with such exact requirements. Dick eyed up the shiny new espresso machine in the corner of the bar and promptly mixed vodka, espresso coffee, and sugar together, then served it in a martini glass. The Vodka Espresso was born."
