"default": "Add the ingredients to a chilled mixing beaker (from the freezer) and use a barspoon to stir with plenty of cubed ice for at least 90 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass or coupe and garnish. This makes quite a small drink. It's far better, in my opinion, to keep things civilized and keep the Martinis cold. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to drink it in its entirety, which gives you plenty of time to make another round."

"default": "Tread carefully—you are in the presence of the undisputed king of the cocktail world. As legendary Savoy bartender Harry Craddock once said, \"a good martini is like the most delicious water you have ever tasted.\" Perhaps the biggest factor to consider when making a Martini is the ratio of gin to vermouth. It should always be made with dry vermouth (which is slightly sweet despite what the name suggests), so the \"dryness\" of the Martini is dictated by how little vermouth goes in to the drink. The less vermouth the drier the Martini. The other two important decisions are whether the drink is shaken or stirred (the latter producing a drink with a silkier texture) and what you garnish it with—generally speaking a lemon twist or a green olive."
