    "default": "It was 1946 when John Martin found himself in the Cock 'n' Bull pub on Sunset Boulevard, chatting to the proprietor Jack Morgan about the poor investment he had made in a brand called Smirnoff Vodka. Morgan had made a similarly poor investment in ginger beer. John and Jack mixed the vodka with the ginger beer and capped it off with a squeeze of lime, then sourced copper mugs to serve it in (allegedly from another failed businessperson) and the Moscow Mule was born."
