"default": "Heralding from the same family as the Cosmopolitan and Margarita, the Sidecar can be a difficult drink to balance. The trick is to keep the lemon juice and triple sec to a bare minimum, allowing the Cognac to shine through. The Sidecar name comes from the story of an American army captain based in Paris during WWI. After being chauffeured around by motorcycle side car between his base and (presumably) the bar, he required a drink that whetted his appetite for food whilst simultaneously warming his bones. A Sidecar would have been a great fit."
